What I Stand For

Building a bright future for the commonwealth

Together, we can build a Virginia where every person has access to quality healthcare, a strong education, economic opportunity, and the right to live with safety and dignity.

Economic Opportunity & Affordable Housing

As a member of the working class, I will champion legislation that promotes equitable access to education, job training, and a living wage for all Virginians. I will fight for stronger investments in affordable housing development, tenant protections, and measures to combat housing insecurity, ensuring that every Virginian has access to safe, stable, and affordable homes. Addressing the housing crisis is vital for the well-being of families and the growth of our communities.

Public Education and Equity

Every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of zip code. I will push for reallocating funds for public schools, with particular focus on universal Pre-K, universal free lunch, English Language Learners, and students with disabilities. Drawing on my experience as an advocate for equity in education, I will work to expand after-school enrichment programs to ensure that all children, especially in Title 1 schools, have the resources they need to succeed.

Healthcare Access & Women’s RightS

Healthcare is a fundamental right, not a privilege. As a mother of a type 1 diabetic child and survivor of domestic violence, I know firsthand the importance of accessible, comprehensive healthcare, particularly for women and members of vulnerable communities. I will fight to protect reproductive rights, expand Medicaid, lower medication prices, and ensure that healthcare services, including mental health and preventive care, are available to every Virginian.

Public Safety & Domestic Violence Prevention

As a survivor of domestic violence, I am deeply committed to strengthening protections for survivors and ensuring that public safety policies prioritize prevention, intervention, and support services. I will advocate for common-sense gun safety laws, including universal background checks, red flag laws, and closing loopholes that allow firearms to fall into dangerous hands, particularly in cases of domestic violence. By focusing on both gun safety and community-based solutions, we can create safer neighborhoods and ensure that survivors of violence receive the support they need.
